The DPIC will offer only 2 weeks of programming during the summer of 2009. The programs for these weeks are available on the Activities page. There are lots of other programs which are going on at about the same time. Below is a listing and links to other programs which we know about.

Presque Isle Harbor Wooden Boat Show

The annual wooden boat show is always on the third saturday of June, which this year is on June 20th at the Marina at Presque Isle.

3rd Annual Sunrise Adventure Bicycle Tour

Friday June 19 - 21, with special Presque Isle Harbor tour on Saturday June 20th to coincide with the Annual Wooden Boat Show.

Free Swimming Lessons

Once again, Lisa Larkin will offer swimming lessons at the Presque Isle Harbor Association pool M-F June 16 - 19. Schedule is 10am beginners, 11am intermediate, and 12pm adults, for 1 hour lessons each day.

Interpretive Nature Walk at Thompson Harbor Preserve

Thursday, June 18th there will be an Interpretive Nature Walk at Thompson Harbor Preserve conducted by a representative from the Nature Conservancy from 10:00am - 12:00pm (limited to 20 people). This is open to the general public.

Rogers City Nautical Festival and the sloop Welcome

The Rogers City Nautical Festival, July 31 - August 9, has many activities. They have plans to have the armed sloop 'Welcome' in the harbor for the week of August 1 - 8.
